Computer Security

Service Specification

We help to secure all your computers (Windows, Mac and Linux) with our fully managed Computer Security service (powered by SentinelOne)
This managed detection and response (MDR) service utilises Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to help identify and kill known and unknown threats.. As standard, we include a 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre (SOC) to help identify, terminate and report on any threats. This security team is managed and supported by our UK team, and is all backed with an £800,000 Ransomware Warranty from Sentinel (see below).
This Computer Security Service includes:

  • Online and Offline Protection for Personal Computers and Servers (Windows, Mac and Linux);
  • Over 200 Security Experts monitoring all threat alerts for you from the 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre (SOC);
  • Full threat analysis to determine if the threat is real, or a false positive;
  • UK Office Hours Support which includes:
    • Email and Telephone Support for any Computer Security related issues;
    • Working with you and the SOC to identify false positives and remotely remediate any detections;
    • Decommissioning of old agents when computers are taken out of service (on request);
  • Tamper Proof uninstallation protection;
  • Remote updating of agents when new versions are released. These updates are tested thoroughly prior to release;
  • Ransomware warranty by Sentinel for £800 per Windows computer, up to £800,000 per calendar year. This requires that all computers are running the SentinelOne agent and are configured according to good practices. See the below link for the full wording and conditions of this warranty:
  • Advice on mass deployments as required;
  • Documentation for self implementation;
  • We can help you set it up with our optional guided setup at a minimal cost – see separate service Here.

There are a few things we don’t include in your Computer Security service, but we can potentially help with separately at our standard hourly rates, or even under an ad-hoc block hours support agreement, such as:

  • Removal of existing antivirus services – these must be done prior to the installation of our Computer Security agent – we include this with our optional Guided Setup. See Here;
  • Resolving any pre-existing threats or infections on the computers. At time of installation, if the software cannot auto-remediate the issue(s), there is occasionally additional work required for remediation. You will be given an estimate which you can choose to accept or decline;
  • Support that may be needed for:
    • Any computers that do not meet minimum requirements
    • Any computer or system support that is not directly related to the Computer Security service itself.
  • Replacement or repair of the Computer Security service in the event it doesn’t work when unsupported operating systems are installed;
  • Reporting services
  • Setting this up on new computers. We include this with our optional Guided Setup – See Here

Billing

Billing is done monthly per licensed computer. There are a few things to note:

  • In order to qualify for the warranty, all computers on the same network need to be protected;
  • Billing is automatically adjusted on a monthly basis so you only pay for the computers you have protected;
  • In order for us not to bill for old or decommissioned computers, you will need to notify us when computers are taken offline or decommissioned so we can remove the agents and reduce the amount billed
